We are here!

Jason with display welcoming us to the happiest place on earth!
Well, it's 7pm here in California...and we arrived safely!  Our flight was mildly stressful because bad weather in Chicago made us leave Rochester late (don't you just LOVE sitting in an airplane on the runway?!) and we thought we'd miss our connection in Chicago.  That flight was delayed, too, though....which was good that we didn't miss, but then we got into CA a lot later than we'd expected.  It worked out OK though because by the time we got to our resort our room was ready.......and it's gorgeous!!

Here are some shots of our room here.  It's a 1-bedroom villa in the new(ish) Disney Vacation Club property where we get to stay with our member points:
This first shot is a panoramic shot that Jason took with his fancy new phone of our villa.

So now we're enjoying our evening.  The parks are CRAZY busy, but that's fine...we can just relax.  One of our friends, Kimmy, is here and we're waiting on Johanna's very late flight for her to arrive.  The other big coup of the trip is our rooms are ADJOINED so it's basically like having a TWO-bedroom villa for the 4 of us! SWEET!!

Now we have to figure out dinner and then Jason and I have special seating and a dessert buffet for the Fantasmic fireworks show tonight! (Oh yeah.....did I mention that I lost 26 pounds before this vacation and Jason lost nearly 20....and now we're gonna gain it all back by eating like vacation piggies!! hehehehe)

  4. Great job on the weight loss. I am impressed--that is exactly what I need to do for our Med cruise in a few months.
